The client is responsible for any loss damages or injury caused by their dog(s) to third parties or property during walks and pet sitting services

Provide necessary equipment for the service (collar and/or harness with an up to date ID tag, lead) we will do our best to make sure dogs and equipment are returned clean, but please understand this is not always possible
Owners are fully responsible for any damage that occurs to the equipment provided unless Wags & Walkies is at fault, in which case we will provide a replacement or reimburse cash value

Cancellations for pet sitting services must be made with a minimum 5 days notice prior to the start date. Deposits are non-refundable, but failure to give enough notice will result in the full payment being charged
In the event of severe weather, illness, or emergencies, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel services
Payment Terms
Payment is due weekly for walking, pet taxi, and check-in services- invoices will be sent out on the last working day of the week (Friday unless affected by holiday/illness) and payments are due by the following Monday
Pet sitting services require a 25% non-refundable deposit within 48 hours to secure the booking (the invoice for this will be sent on confirmation of availability for the requested dates). The remaining 75% balance will need to be paid 5 days prior to the start of the pet sit (the invoice for the remaining balance will be sent at least 7 days prior to the start of the pet sit)
Failure to make payments may result in suspension of services and/or legal action to recover owed amounts
Failure to pay within 28 days of the due date may result in the matter being pursued though small claims court to recover the outstanding amount, along with any associated legal or administrative costs
Accepted payment methods: Cash, Bank Transfer
Liability
We are insured and will take reasonable precautions. However, we are not liable for injury, loss or death of the dog(s) due to uncontrollable events (e.g. aggression, illness, escape)
As mentioned before, the client is responsible for any damage, loss or injury caused by their dog(s) to third parties or property during walks and pet sitting services
Off Lead Walking
Dogs will only be walked off lead with the owners consent
If consent is given, before being walked off-lead, a trial period will start where the dog will placed on a long line. This will allow us to assess the reliability of a dogs recall as well as how they interact with other dogs and their surroundings
Dogs will then only be walked off-lead if we deem it safe to do so, we cannot guarantee that dogs will be walked off-lead (this decision will be based on numerous factors such as weather conditions, walk locations, the dogs recall reliability, other dogs in the area)
Emergency care
In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact the client and/or emergency contact immediately
If unreachable, we may seek veterinary care (if up to date veterinary details are not given, this may require your pet to be taken to an alternative veterinary practice)
Owners are fully responsible for all veterinary charges incurred- the dog walker is not held accountable for veterinary fees or third-party claims while your pet is in our care
Entire males/un-spayed bitches
We accept bookings for un-spayed bitches. However, we must be informed as soon as you are aware a dog has come into season. Walks will not be provided for the duration of the season, but we may be able to offer check-in services instead.
Failure to inform us of an in-season dog will result in the initial service being switched to an untimed check-in which will be charged at the full rate of the originally booked service
We accept bookings for entire (unneutered) male dogs. However, if this leads to behavioural challenges such as aggression, mounting or disruptiveness during group/solo walks, we reserve the right to modify or terminate services
Timings
We will do our best to arrive within a booked timeslot, but we ask that you please allow a 30 minute window either side of this as there are numerous factors out of our control that could affect our arrival time (traffic conditions, weather, last minute cancellations) we will inform you as soon as we can if this will be more than the 30 minute window
Solo walks will be timed from the dog walkers arrival to their departure
Group walks will be timed from the collection of the last dog to the drop off of the first dog (if your dog is the last pick up and first drop off then they will be out for the duration booked, please allow an extra 30 minutes in the case that they may be the first pick up and last drop off)
